The Bengals practiced over the noon hour inside Paul Brown Stadium today, and coach Marvin Lewis said tailback Rudi Johnson completed a solid week of practice. Johnson will play Sunday and could see extensive work for the first time since injuring his leg Sept. 23 at Seattle.

Johnson and Kenny Watson, who started the past four games, will split the workload, Lewis said. How that will break down is still uncertain. "Let's just go play football," Lewis said this afternoon.

Lewis said defensive end Justin Smith, who did not practice Wednesday because of a hamstring strain, will start against the Bills.

Defensive tackle John Thornton, who suffered a neck stinger in the loss Sunday to the Steelers, might or might not play. Lewis said that decision would be made before Sunday but announced at 11:30 a.m. with the inactives. Michael Myers would start in Thornton's place, Lewis said.

Not sure who will win, this should be a very close game. I am expecting the Bengals to be a little beat up and emotionally drained because of the Pittsburgh loss.

I wouldn't count much longer on Brooks. He has trouble finishing up at Virginia b/c health issues (and team violations) and we are seeing it now. This is awfully long time for a groin injury. Im no NFL player, but I did witness Ray Lewis play against us with what appeared to be a broken arm. That is the "Anything for the team" attitude I want in a middle linebacker. I don't expect much from Brooks now or in the future.

Watching UC take apart South Florida and one thing really sticks out at you - Brian Kelly is a coach and Marvin Lewis is a confused spectator.

Brooks will prove to be another BUST in a long line-up of terrible Bengal draft choices. And expect to see CP ride the injury bench the rest of the year and then get dropped. What a nice pick that was too. I would mention the DLBs that were available at that pick number but I want to keep everyone's blood pressure below 140.

What's Marvin to do? He works for a dysfunctional organization that gave him his head-coaching opportunity.

The Borwn's will never hire a top-notch coach that can tell them to stick it. They want someone who will "behave" - so they can continue their tax-payer robbery.

A confused spectator? Marvin Lewis is not even that...he's not confused, he's crystal clear about how best to lose:

draft criminals
make sure your play-calling goes 99% sideways
blow timeouts early
train your players to be sloppy so that you'll be a guy short on defense at crucial moments
be afraid to lose
yet be afraid to win too
mismanage the clock
make the offense slow, slow to develop, and tentative

As to spectator...we can only hope that by the end of the season, he's no longer the coach.

He has got NOTHING resembling a truly winning coach. So thank him for "improving" the Bengals, and lengthening our rap sheet, and further embarrassing our Reds-shamed city's sporting pride.

Until Lewis and Brown are gone, the Bengals will SUCK. But confused spectator was funny...he certainly looks befuddled and dimwitted when his inept, undisciplined, unmotivated, uninspired, under-trained team limps to loss after loss.
