The mighty offense scores 1 TD. Marvin kicks a FG on 4th & 1. Did he think his defense was going to hold the Steelers to no TD's? His clock mgmt was once again sloppy and they only had 10 men on the field on the first TD to Ward. MARVIN IS IN OVER HIS HEAD!!!

My asessment (since I know you who dey head hunter haters were wondering).
Honestly I have to say that overall, I am impressed with the effort the GALs put forth. They played an almost flawless game (2 pentalied for 10 yards and 1 turnover) and never gave up, well most didn't. I was impressed and even got nervous in the 2nd half when it was 21-13. There was no trickery or silliness and the GALs lined up and played ball. I am impressed indeed.
With that said, Chad needs to go. He is totally overrated and is a non facotr in big games. I think the GALs could get some good d ballers for him. He absolutely lost focus in this game and dropped a third down pass right in his hands that stalled a key drive that may have meant regaining momentum because he heard footsteps. The guy will not go over the middle and hates to get hit, defenses know this and use it against him.
The Oline for the GALs was phenomenal. I could not believe they were able to push the Steelers around and protect Carson as they did. I was very impressed and shocked to even see some serious pancaking going on. Whitworth blew somebody up on every other down.
My overall assessment:
Marvin is not a good coach. Whether it is his fault or not, he failed to bring in the personnel needed to be competitive and that falls squarely on him as he has been given more autonomy than any other coach in Bengal history (besides PB of course!). Most of the Bengals' marquis players are actually holdovers from Lebeau drafts so it is in Marvin's failure to bring in quality personnel, and problem personnel that has you guys in this spot. But it may not be Marvin's fault as Mikey Mike still nickels and dimes this team and his coaching staffs to death in terms of non-football staff (scouting etc.)
Prognosis: If the GALs put all their eggs into this basket, it will be a long year. Players will perform selfishly in order to get a trade or quit. The schedule is brutal in that you play a team that is gonna be hell bent on killing you (ravens) and a few more that will sneak up and shock you. In reality you need to lose only 3 more games to be no better than .500 again and it may be even worse. You have to go to Buffalo next week and Baltimore and if you lose either two of those, you may not win another.
Good Luck.
And as always (and I hate to say this because I admire the effort of the GALs today but it is my traditional signoff and necessary) 3S! Stay Stoopid Sincy!

I know a lot of people don't think ML will be fired, but don't discount Mike Brown. Even as dumb a football man as he must see that this team is a train wreck. Mike Martz will be available and I am looking forward to seeing what his imaginative offense could do with this talent. D***, I just woke up from a peaceful sleep. Forget that last post, the nightmare will continue.

The game is on the line, final drive. We run a no huddle most of that game but when the clock is running down, we huddle. Carson is a Pro-bowl QB and we run the ball. Marvin is inept.

If only someone could fire Mike Brown. Then this team would be able to do something and go somewhere. Maybe then they would be able to have a winning season more than one fluke year in 17 tries.

What is it about Cincinnati? The Reds stunk up the place and now the Bengals equally stink. The two so-called pro teams stink along with the stinking river alongside their stadiums. Cincinnati is fast becoming the drag queen city of losers. Looks like if I want to see quality pro-ball in Ohio, I'm gonna have to head on over to Cleveland.

Comical.......

That is what it is living here in the Cincy area and being a lifelong Steelers fan. It is really too funny watching everyone run around in August so full of hope for the New (insert year) Bengals, then by week 8 everyone is back to reality....the Gals are aweful again, just another year in the never ending cycle of mediocrity. The Bengals have always been a laughing stock outside of this area and always will be. It is really going to be a treat to watch the Gals drop one to Miami or St. Louis, don't get made because deep down you know I'm right. It's not going to matter anyway after next Monday the Steelers are probably going to have the division locked up.

Another note to everyone bashing Marvin Lewis....you guys better keep him. First off there may not be anyone out there that wants to come here and scondly, do you really think it is going to matter?

1st- Again I think this is the same coward who tried to call me out in another post. Dude, come out as anything but ANONYMOUS PLEEZ! I have absolutely no respect for somone who disses another on here without putting themsleves out there.
2nd- What constitutes a life? Maybe I enjoy trying to educate Who dey heads on here as a hobby. You may collect tiddley winks and shiney stuff to keep your BenGAL brain sharp, I like to get on here and vent. It aint easy living in this dump of a city and being a BenGAL hater.
3rd- Some people have actually begun to follow me, including you bee + oooo+ ch.
4th- And I mention this twice because it is so important, don't try and bring it as anonymous. It is so weak to try to cut someone down as ANONYMOUS. It's like those weak a55 who dey heads who pull up next to me in my SUV, see the Steeler sticker on the back, then take a look at me and either nod and try to make nice, or yell something as they pull away. It's weak bro

3S- Stay stoopid Sincy!
