Depth-chart change

It's official, according to the Bengals depth chart dated Oct. 3. Levi Jones is the starter at left tackle. Andrew Whitworth is the starter at left guard. Stacy Andrews, who started the first three games at left guard, is now No. 2 at left guard. Whitworth is the top backup at left tackle.

Good... maybe Levi will quit crying.

It's obvious now that Stacy Andrews was the selfish guy on the team, thus he was demoted to backup.

Even with Chad arguing with Carson and Housh complaining to Marv on the sideline; I felt Levi was the most selfish player on this team constantly complaining in the media. Still, I feel like he might be ready to play and not risk another injury at this point.

The only official news I care about is when they make a coaching change.

Will Andrews or Whitworth be working any at right tackle? Sounds like Willie may need to shut id down and it is probably best to keep Koostria #2 on the depth chart.

Or, was it Levi???

In today's paper a set of impressive passing stats for Palmer, TJ & Chad is followed by the following comment:

"With three losses in four games this season, those numbers don't mean anything."

I disagree. If Palmer had 6 int & 2 TDs and Chad & TJ were combined for just 10 catches, things would be very much different, and very much worse.

We need our defense to climb to 15 in the rankings for us to make the playoffs. Not many other teams would complain about that challenge! Not many other teams would complain about having our passing numbers.

Mark, answer me this. Why isn't Witworth moving to RT to fill in for Anderson? From watching the games, it is very obvious that this is a huge problem with the line and therefore effects the running game & pass protections. Why are they sticking with Koostra(sp?) who was beat several times Monday night. This is forcing Palmer to be uncomfortable in the pocket and throwing early/ off-target (hence the 0-for on third down Monday). Once they get the bookends shored up, the offense should be able get back to normal.

I'll answer that one. It's because the coaches are stoopid.

Yeah, that's pretty much true, I don't care what the Bengals do until they Fire Lewis and all the incompetent coaches (all the coaches).

You know, I'm still waiting for someone to point me in the direction of a team with a BETTER collection of offensive players who have accomplished LESS than the Bengals, each and every year, and in most games.

Dull, stupid, passive, defeatist play-calling and negligent clock management are the weekly features of this staff--and they refuse to change, learn, or improve.

Mark,
Wow. What a difference a few years make. When Palmer took us the the playoffs..the line was solid, Carson had Chad and TJ, Henry and Perry and all the time in the world to throw. Now we are a shadow of our former selves. I hope the week off brings us back..but in reality we are living in a dream world if we think we can go back to the playoff year after just a bye week :( Why does this always happens to us :(

Is Ken Zampese keeping an eye on San Francisco? It was rumored that the Niners wanted to interview him after they lost Norv Turner but it was too late in the game. Niners fans are not happy with Jeff Hostler and are already looking to replace him after the 2007 season, if not before. I'm guessing (hoping) we'll take another run at Zampese.

See you guys in December

I now believe the bengals are a sub 500 team. Talent doesn't mean a thing if you can't win. We had one fluke season in the last 17 years where we made the playoffs & that is all it was A FLUKE. Fire Chuck & Marvin because they are not going to get this team to the next level. The excitement is gone, the fans have turned their heads & Mike Brown needs to step in before it gets out of hand.

Talent doesn't make a winning team. Winning games does! Lose the attitudes Bengal's because you are losing fans!!!!!!!!

If the Bengals continue to lose. Will Chad Johnson continue his TD celebrations? Making a mockery of himself & the team?

If I here were fine one more time I think I'm gonna scream!!! Marvin as far as I'm concerned you need to win 9-10 games of the next 12. I know were hitting a softer schedule but your defense and special teams play is awful and your offense is inconsistant. You were brought on 5 years ago to help the teams record and build a better defense. 8-8 is mediocre and the defense is a joke.

One of the key indicators for this team, including through the playoff season, is that their record against the top teams in the league is abysmal. That remains the case even having Carson Palmer. Palmer hasn't gotten them over the hurdle. Sure, we can split with Pittsburgh and Baltimore, but against N.E., the Colts, Seattle, San Diego, Denver, Jacksonville, Dallas, we lose, lose, lose and lose. The Bengals were scared by last year's schedule because week after week they were playing contenders. Do you think N.E. cares who they play each week?
