Bengals close on TE Utecht

The Bengals appear to be closing in on an offer sheet with Colts retricted free agent Ben Utecht. Once he would sign the sheet with the Bengals, Indianapolis would have one week to decide whether to match.

this would be soooo helpful for us cuz we then wouldn't have to worry about getting a pass catching TE in the draft so we can save that pick for more D this would be a great pick up.......if it all works out

Utecht would be a great addition for the Bengals. You would think that he would love to play with Carson Palmer. Obviously it would be tough for him to leave an already great team with a future Hall of Fame Quarterback. The one big advantage Carson has over Peyton at this point is his age. Carson is around five season younger than Manning. With Utecht only in the league four years both players are about to hit their prime. This should really help open things up. Hopefully the deal gets done.

The Bengals will definitly redeem themselves a little IF they can sign Utecht. But it is a big IF...

I love the signing of Utecht. Now if we can sign Ethan Kelly, and draft Sedrick Ellis. This could be an exciting season. WHO-DEY!!!
