Agent Drew Rosenhaus on video discussing what he already has told The Enquirer about the Chad Johnson situation. Rosenhaus stressed that the matter will be handled professionally and privately.

The two things I've never associated Rosenhaus with: professionalism, and private negotiations.

"professionally and privately"

He might want to share that information with Chad

"Rosenhaus stressed that the matter will be handled professionally and privately"

The same way he handled T.O.

Mark,

Talk about something else other than Chad Johnson! Why are you continuing to talk about this whole issue? Enough already!

Mark - after the Carl Pickens debaucle didn't the Brown family begin making players agree to a "conduct detrimental to the team" agreement that penalyzed the player if they spoke badly about the Bengos orgranization? Did OchoCrybaby agree to this in his latest contract?

Ok 1. "Chad is unhappy" I think We GET THAT!!!!!

2. "It will be handled privatley with the Bengals Chad and Drew".- I agree it should have been, but it insn't and it wasn't now it won't be now will it????!

3. "It will not be a circus" uh its not already??!!! The circus has been in town, or at least on ESPN, ROME, 1530 for the last month.

Please for the love of God Chad, just be quiet, enjoy the off season and come back for Training Camp and prove everyone wrong in 08 and put 07 behind you. It wasn't a good year for the team. and it was not your fault.

Marvin, for the love of God, take care of your wide reciever. Clear the Air, Mend the bridges, whatever it takes to make this all go away.

Willie??? Carson, this is your team that is falling apart here, what will you do about it??

Does he know what the term "professionally" means?

Chad Johnson. Drama Queen Supreme.

I love these guys calling for Marvin to chase after Johnson like some jilted suitor, kiss his ace, and coddle him even more. Did it ever occur to you enablers that Marvin has bent over backwards putting up with this guy's childish ME FIRST stuff for years and he's pretty burnt out on it?

Why in the world should he bend over even more? I bet he'll be glad to help CJ pack. If Johnson wants to go, then let's get him gone.

I predict...no, I guarantee the Bengals will take a wide out in the first or second round. No doubt about it. Problem solved.

Let's hope they take a character guy. Supposing of course that they can recognize one.

Replace Mr. Tacky Golden Mouth and problem goes away. Simple.

It's partly the Bengals fault for signing this tool to the extra years. He's been a behavioral nightmare since he got here.

As for Rosenhaus, his job is to help Johnson get out of Cincinnati. I'm volunteering to help him. Those who think this team will completely collapse without The Human Drama Queen are living in some phantasy world. TJ, Henry, and a good rookie wide out will solve this situation pronto.

Just think, no more self centered end zone crap. No more Drama Queen shows. Good. The end zone stuff was pretty boring anyway.

A professional would discretely ask the organization for a trade. When that trade is privately denied, the professional would go about fulfilling the terms of the contract that they signed to the best of their ability. They are not professionals.

the quintessential oxymoron...
Coupling Rosenhaus and profesionally/privately.

Perhpas in the next round of draft picks we should invest in TEAM players.

Rosenhaus's face is stupid to the max.

Hey for all of you guys sick of talking about Chad. There is a great read on punters from a few days ago that Mark put out.

ENOUGH OF TH CHAD TALK!!!

This "gossip" only makes the situation worse.

Maybe I'm skeptical, but I find it nearly impossible to believe a word that comes out of the Agent's mouth...

Wouldnt it be funny if people actually stopped talking after 9:16 posted that, "ENOUGH OF TH CHAD TALK!!!"

In spite of him i will say this. Chad Johnson is a big jerk! He needs to stop crying like a baby and take a seat. I never liked him anyways!(in spite of 9:16)

Rebute:
Chad is the reason we ever did anything and not your punk, chump, golden boy Palmer. HATERS, PLAYERS, and TWO TIMIN - DOUBLE CROSSIN - FOLKS WHOS INCOME DOESN'T MATCH THAT OF A 5 TIME PROBOWL WIDE RECIEVER (as if it mattered).

so yeah honestly, when are we going to have a blog about something that is really gonna change the team? like the defense....if the bengals get rid of chad, then that sucks but get some defense for him cuz just lettin him go is gonna hurt them in the salary cap as well as on the field. but yeah, can we talk about the defense and how horrendous it was....correct me if im wrong but didn't one of the safety's lead the team in tackles?

at 2/07/2008 12:00 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

I think at this point when it comes to Chad ... we just need to have a Bengal arrest .. you know a return to the hope of last season ... a much happier time when we were all the fodder of the league

But then I think our receivers ran the wrong routes 80% of the time so if nothing else we need to talk about the receivers 80% of the time. so I think we are fairly par for the course ...

There has been to much negativity towards the Chad Johnson thing....maybe if he wasnt one the top recievers in the N.F.L. then he wouldnt complain. But uyou have to understand when Chad was the highlight for the bengals , which I personally believe its been since he really arrived and then branched out in 2003, that everyone loved the guy, but now because of this we have so much hate. Chad just wants his redemption with his staff members and they need to show more support. He's obviously the guy that likes attention so lets give him what he wants so he can be happy and put up better reception yards then last season and more touchdowns than 2005 reg. season. He's a great guy just upset over behind closed door issuses we dont even know about. So let's give the guy a chance because he really is a hard working player........

The more and more I read these blogs it becomes more and more apparent that Cincy must have the highest number of stupid fans in all of sportdom.

You gotta love it the Chad Johnson story is huge on all of the national sports websites, but we have moronic Cincy fans who are shooting the messanger because he does his J-O-B and brings the Chad news to us.

Apparently we have some Bengals fans that feel the best way to be a Bengals fan is to bury your head in the sand and pretend that all is hunky dorey, all the while things are not hunky dorey. God forbid that a reporter reports what is going on in the real world.

Last I looked it was NOT Mark going on all of the radio and TV programs talking about Chad being unhappy, it was CHAD and his AGENT. So either Mark can ignore the media push by CHAD and his AGENT, or he can do his @$@^%@#! job and give us the information that is out in the real world. Mark is doing NOTHING to stir up the controversy, CHAD and his AGENT are doing the stiring. Reporting on that FACT doesn't create the new, CHAD and his AGENT create the news.

Man Cincy fans smarten up, and stop pretending like this controversy isn't really happening. Personally I understand why Chad is mad, he took to much of the criticism last season(come on the stupidity of it all that his end zone celebrations were somehow causing the team to lose, uh, hello, it was the @!$!$!%%@# defense), but I would also like to see him stop airing his dirty laundry in public, and see him act like a man and confront and discuss with those that dissed him on what they need to do to fix the problem. I still support Chad, I just wish that he would STOP MAKING THE NEWS.

For Anonymous at 9:16:

Do you HONESTLY think that if a newspaper blog stops writing posts or accepting fan input on Chad's wish to be traded, that it will just go away? That what Chad REALLY wants is for Bengals fans to stop talking about this? That he'll say, "Well, since the bloggers have stopped posting their opinions, I'll be happy to stay."? What exactly is your point?

I think I speak for the majority of the Bengals fans when I say we hate the Chad Johnson drama and want him to leave.

One only needs to look at his role in this to understand he will never get it. He will never understand the team comes first. He will never understand that pouting is not an effective communications tool. He will never understand that his continuous carping about those in the organization out to get him is detrimental to the continuity and cohesiveness of the team effort.

Professional, private? If this statement weren't so outlandish, it would be humorous. This speaks volumns though how out of touch an uneducated, ungrateful professional athelete can become.

Cincy fans...get behind the Brown family on this one. They, so far, have taken the high road and are trying to salvage this relationship. Most owners in the NFL would not put up with this nonsense and understand the fans are fed up with this behavior as well. Please, do the right thing Brown family for us the fans!

I posted earlier under a different nickname, but this post is to further back up my point for those "head in the sand", & "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" Cincy fans. Here is an article by Pete Prisco at cbssports.com (you know a NATIONAL sports website), and it has a blub about the Bengals. This is currently the front page story at cbssportsline.com, and Chad is one of three players pictured. So here is what he wrote:

Cincinnati Bengals

What to do with Chad Johnson? He wants out. Do you let a player of his ability leave? If you get the right deal -- and I'm not sure exactly what that is, but at least a second-round pick -- then maybe you move on. They can't have him bitching every day.

Here is the link to the entire article:

Chad Article

So pretend all you want that Mark is stiring this crap up, and that Mark is the cause for this controversy, but in the real world, Chad has stired up the pot, and it is a NATIONAL sports story, that is not going to go away, even if Mark stops doing his job. Heck you can even tell that Mark has NOTHING to do with Pete writing about this story, because if it was really Mark stiring this crap up, then Pete would know the Bengals can't afford to trade or cut Chad due to salary cap ramifications as Pete would have read Mark's take on the salary cap re Chad.

k everyone that is defending the media....the media has a tremendous amount of access to inside information in the NFL. everyone needs to admit that they do abuse it at many times. not every player is required to speak to the media. so when the local media immediately blamed chad for the losing, i think he did the right thing by choosing to not speak with them. now, fast forward a little bit. after the dismal season the bengals had and the turmoil in the locker room that was exploited by the media, chad uses the national media to express his frustration. now listen very closely...the story goes both ways in the sense that yeah chad may have gone a little overboard recently with his actions but the media (esp. the local media) did NOTHING to help the situation out. do you really expect him to talk to mark and paul like its not a big deal that they think he's the problem? yeah he's a pro but it only goes so far. i mean, if your own local media is saying that you're the problem, then i guarantee that you're gonna say something back. whether or not its to the media doesn't matter cuz its gonna get out there either way...anyone who thinks hes a cancer is a jackass cuz you were all in support of chris henry when he was getting arrested and breaking the LAW but you're turning your back on Chad cuz talkin to the media....

Chad is just the lastest example of the racist and biased sports media in this town playing on the fears and jealousy of it's majority white fan base and majority white media. How many minority writes and sports talk host does 700 and 1530 homer have? thought so..... what a joke....if i am Chad i go to a city that is more diverse than mayberry, archie bunker riddled Cincinnati.....PEACE

It longer than normal to pull the race card.

Your right "keepin it real" if Chad wants the media and fans to leave him alone, he should go to New York, Or Philly. They are really nice there, unlike mean ol Cincinnati.

Get Real!

I Agree with Keepin it too real...

If he was Chad he would go to a city more diverse than Mayberry.

Lets put a huge portion of blame where it belongs......M.L.!! He allowed ghetto behavior on & off the field!!He allowed unsportsmanship penalties & Chad allowed to go off the deep end!!My thoughts are LETS KEEP CHAD & FIRE LEWIS!!!!!!!!!!!!(DAYTON)

at 2/07/2008 8:02 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

I can't stand Marvin Lewis but he's not the problem >>> Mike F. Brown is THE PROBLEM.

If Lewis leaves or is fired, Mike just brings another former (low-cost) assistant who's desperate for a head-coaching gig & will be a "good soldier". And we do it all over again.

Debate all you want, the OWNER is the problem and it ain't gonna change.

I'm so sick of this Chad Johnson is a cancer crap. you people are clueless. since when did Chad's touchdowns give up 25 points a game? the only reason anyone started watching the Bengals again is because of Chad Johnson. trading him would be stupid and another sign of MIKE BROWN'S terrible ownership of this team. The defense is the problem and has always been the problem not Chad. Stupid bandwagon fans piss me off. He is just getting pissed because he realizes the Bengals suck and will always suck until they fix the defense. Pretty soon i bet Carson is going to start lobbying to be traded too. Wouldn't you want to play for a winning team? 17 yrs one winning season I can understand why he would want to leave. Osi from the Giants is holding out, that must make him a cancer too. You people are unbelievable. I don't believe that racist talk though thats just bullsh@$. When exactly was Chad crying by the way? I don't remember him crying I do recall him bitching at Palmer for overthrowing him like 1000 times. Lets rely on Henry though because he is a real stand up citizen. I do believe the media though is the one that stirred all this crap up in the first place. If I was on the Bengals I would lobby to be traded too. WHO WANTS TO PLAY FOR THE WORST NFL FRANCHISE????? Do you ?? What about free agents??? you think they want to come here and lose. Get off Chad's back and put the blame where the blame belongs....THE DEFENSE

So guess what they are reporting on NFL Network. It wasn't the steelers who cheap shot palmer and broke his knee it was really Chad Johnson who who cheap shotted him b/c carson threw the ball to henry and not him. You bandwagon tools need to go be stupid on another teams website.
