Romeo-isms

Browns coach Romeo Crennel was in a decidedly better mood late this morning when he spoke to media that covers the Bengals on a conference call.

-- On why the Bengals offense is slumping: "They scored 45 on us the last time. I told my guys that they better expect that this time."

-- On winning 51-45 over the Bengals in Week 2: "It was huge for us to be able to win. We lost our first one (to Pittsburgh) and not in a good way."

-- On center Hank Fraley: "He is the rock who holds it together."

-- On left guard Eric Steinbach, the former Bengals starter the Browns signed in free agency last March: "In the NFL, when you're losing, you have to try to go get good talent to help you. We played against Eric twice a year. By getting Eric, and drafting (left tackle) Joe Thomas, we've solidified that side."

The Browns are 9-5. They are in the playoffs Sunday with a victory against the Bengals.

Happy for Steinbach, he deserves to play for a winner. Same goes for the former Bearcat Antwan Peek.
If I am Carson Palmer I have my agent get me out of Cincinnati ASAP. Carson will flourish with a real franchise. Athough Mikey Boy is netting 20 Million a year (no debt service he inherited the team)and Marvin is pulling down 5 million who are the real idiots....hint....Season Ticket holders!

Please turn off your caps lock. BTW, when you say go browns, do you mean the real browns franchise in Baltimore or the phony, made up one in cleveland?

I did see a banner Cleve fans had up last game and laughed.

It said:

85 ALL BLING
AND
NO RING.

Kinda summed it up nice and neatly.

Anon 9:20,

That is about the dumbest comment that I have heard in ages. Really shows your lack of intelligence. Cleveland retained the name, history and colors of the Browns. A group of players that used to play on the Browns moved to Baltimore. With players moving around the league on a whim, your logic is just plain stupid. With your logic, should we call the New Orlean Saints the San Diego Chargers, because Drew Brees went there? And continuing with your logic, then the Bengals are nothing but the bastard step-children of the Browns because Paul Brown started the team after leaving Cleveland, which was the first team he started. If your going to talk smack, get your facts straight!

Go Browns! I mean the Brown family, the worst curse a football fan ever had.

Go Browns, and take Marvin Lewis with you!
