Jeanty should play

Strong-side linebacker Rashad Jeanty, who was inactive with a knee injury Saturday night, might be back for the Cleveland game Sunday.

"We just decided to go with the guy who was completely healthy (Corey Mays) last week," Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said this afternoon. "He has the opportunity to play this week and was feeling much better (Sunday)."

Lewis also said he liked the "physical" manner in which Jeanty plays and credited him for being a "serious professional."

Jeanty has 25 total tackles, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries this season. He did not play in the first five games because of a fractured bone in his lower leg. He returned and had started the five games prior to the 49ers.

The new injury to Jeanty was the only one of note Monday. The Bengals are healthy with their current 53-man roster heading into Week 16, Lewis said.

Mark,

Seriously, with how pissed off the fans are at this team, how can you just post a blog like this? When are you going to step up to the plate and be a real report and start addressing what the fans really want to hear. Stop being so nice to the Mike Brown and Marvin and start asking the tough questions, like what is Marvin going to do to address all the problems, what is Mike Brown going to do? Stop being so nice to this team! The taxpayers forked over good money for their palace...we deserve some answers. We don't have access to the team or the owner, you do. So please start acting like a report instead of a PR agent for the team.

Mark,

I have to agree with the first poster. The question that I have is, how can you continue, week after week, to lob Marvin the same tired questions? Chick Ludwick is the ONLY reporter on the Bengals beat with the stones to get on Lewis...

It's just one condecending presser after another, and the local media rides right along.

Also, what's with this blog? Take a loot at what C. Trent has done with the Reds blog, and take notes....for a reporter with a blog for an NFL team....

...this is a disgrace.

Yeah, you reporters are really awful. You pretend like this is just some isolated "bad season" rather than a continuation of long-standing incompetency. I just asked Santa to get Mike Brown, Marvin Lewis, all his coaches, and all you lame journalists out of Cincinnati. Come on Santa! Come through just this once!
