Anderson out for 49ers

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Bengals held a walk-through practice this afternoon at Monster Park in preparation for the game Saturday night against the 49ers.

The Bengals have a short injury report: right tackle Willie Anderson (knee) was declared out, and starting strong-side linebacker Rashad Jeanty -- a key player in the team's improved run defense -- was listed as probable with a knee injury. Jeanty practiced fully.

Terrible extension on the Anderson contract. Levi and Willie are wasted cap money.

Hang up the cleats Willie. Your time has passed. Help your team by freeing up the money you have locked up. Be a man and accept your aging body.

Bengal's need to clean house (again). Id start w/ the head coach. Pity we can't fire the owner too.

They should can the entire defense. But please, start w/ the head coach, then owner.

the announcers are really ripping the Bengals and the coaching staff. The defense is back to its usual poor tackling and coverage. I'm watching the bungals again....

The Bengals stink again. More passes to the sideline instead of towards the end zone, when they're in the red zone. Our coaches are completely incompetent. Please fire these jokers!

Wow look, Frank Gore runs up the middle for 12 yards and a first down...oh, wait a second, that was the Niners' rookie quarterback.

Nice job defensive coaches!

(I've never seen worse coaches in the NFL in 30 years of watching games every single week...no team has been so pathetic, predictable, passive, confused, porous, and pre-defeated as this poorly coached defense).

Right, get rid of the owner and coaches first.

Our high powered offense SUCKS because our coaches suck, and now we have a punt on 4th down with 3 minutes left? What morons! We're counting on a 3-and-out??? That's INSANE. Stupid Marvin Lewis, I'm so sick of this guy. PLEASE LEAVE TOWN and stay gone.

at 12/15/2007 10:40 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

okay, they didn't punt, finally a sane move by the coach at the right time.

If we didn't have TJ, we'd be the Miami Dolphins.

Carson is only looking at one receiver...the announcers are correct, he's making up his mind pre-snap...

And the idiot overthrows Chad AGAIN.

All season long, Palmer overthrows on crucial plays...

This one is on Palmer if we lose.

And the coaches, of course.

Did Marvin really just challenge that? Does he even like his job? I really thinks he wants to be fired. He's lost the team just like Narron did, 06 Reds in competition late, fell out, came out next year flat and were awful. 06 Bengals fell flat to end regular season to miss playoffs, 07 Bengals were awful.

I didn't think Marvin Lewis was that stupid but that throwing away a time out on a no chance reversal proves the guy is just an air head. Sorry Marv, but you're not head coach material...not even close.

The Dolfins may be winless, but the Bengals are the worst team in the NFL. Why? because they don't have any leaders, no one they can count on to get the job done. They are talented but will never reach their potential because they don't play smart or with passion. All they do is talk a good game. From the head coach on down.

This is a REALLY bad team, and are facing a major rebuilding process. I'd include a new QB too. What a shame. Such a waste of talent. It starts w/ ownership, then coaching, then players. They're all bad.

20-13? That was the most gutless, uninspired, pathetic performance in recent memory. This team is a shell of what it was 2 years ago. Marvin has lost this team, and needs to go. We are once again, what we were for 15 years, a complete joke.

The head coach is clearly in over his head. His leadership has resulted in EVERY player on this team, except TJ, to become a WORSE player than they were 2 years ago. Isn't the idea to IMPROVE with experience. Marvin clearly is not a motivator, and has surrounded himself with perhaps the 2 most pitiful coordinators in all of football. Mike Brown, once again, you team is the joke of professional sports. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Another pathetic performance. Same predictable, sackless play calling. The same sackless effort on defense. WHO IS IN CHARGE DOWN THERE? Too many guys on the field with their own agenda. Too many coaches with ideas on how things should be run. And not enough leadership from the top on down. Wake up Mike Brown. I have great respect for Marvin Lewis as a man but he has lost this team and its leadership. The excuses of injuries and off-field problems don't hold up anymore. The execution is unbelievably bad! The franchise has regressed almost back to where it was when Marvin was hired. He came in with guns blazing at his first camp to let everybody know there was a new sheriff in town and now it seems he's too comfortable and allowing the players to feel the same way. I can't watch this crap anymore.

Dear Mike Brown: you no longer have age or experience on your side. Once, there was hope you would learn, improve, and apply your learning to the Bengals. Face it, you're always a "short-cut" "quick-fix" guy who knows nothing about how to build a winning franchise. More than a decade ago, you could have argued for a chance to prove yourself. That chance has come and gone. Please sell the Bengals ASAP. You are a cancer to this city. It's not the losing, it's the way you lose--you lose by willfully ignoring reality, by being stubborn, by engaging in wishful thinking, by hiring mediocre talent, by ignoring what successful teams do, and by simply refusing to take a balanced approach to building a winner.

You have established that you and your men cannot scout, cannot draft, cannot teach, cannot train well, cannot manage a clock, cannot conjure discipline or character, and cannot play competitively in the NFL.

Let 2007 be the final sad chapter in an unredeemable career, Mr. Brown. Further torture of fans is only going to make you more of a loathsome figure here in the Queen City. Please, stop the cruel joke, get out of pro football altogether.
At least give us one thing to cheer about next year (you being gone).

Please?

Season Finale prediction:

MIAMI WINS

BROWNGALS play pathetically, as per usual

This team and organization deserves every beat-down and humiliation bestowed upon them. Last night loss to a lousy 49er team only highlight the obvious: this is a terrible team which continues to self-destruct and embarrass themselves. Our imbecile owner, clueless coach and players all deserve each other.

Marvin is not looking at a TV monintor on the sidelines, people. That came from upstairs.

This team is more disappointing than the teams of the 90's. We expected them to suck, but this team has the talent, but lacks the fight and the will to win. The only fighter we have on this team is TJ. He is the only one that cares about loosing on this team. It looks like the true Marvin has stood up. He does nothing but makes excuses for the team looking like crap and not playing to their ability. Carson is not seeing the field and not taking the time to do so. This team is truly the most disappointing with the talent they have. I can't believe they played so bad . WHERE IS THE FIGHT GUYS? MARVIN YOU NEED TO STEP UP AND BE THE COACH OR GET THE HELL OUT!! You need to make believers out of your team, and this team doesn't believe it can win. The offense and defensive coaches play calling just simply sucks! They need to go! The only reason this team attitude is were it's at is because of the coaches. There is no go out and kick there ass attitude and it shows on the field. Since your not going anywhere Mike, It is time for you to make some coaching changes! Get someone in here that has the knowhow, attitude and fight that we need to win or this team is going to fall right back to where they were in the 90's.

Mike Brown will never sell the Bengals. It is the biggest money making franchise in the NFL. Sorry about your losing seasons. They will never get better because you fools keep going to the games.. HAHAHA....

When are the FANS going to wake up? You keep complaining about the inept ownership yet you're giving him exactly what he wants stupid.
