Latest on Chad Johnson

INDIANAPOLIS -- Agent Drew Rosenhaus is currently holding court with dozens of reporters at the Indiana Convention Center. He is mainly discussing the signing of street free agent linebacker Zach Thomas, formerly of the Dolphins, with Thomas' hometown Dallas Cowboys.

Rosenhaus also is the agent for Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson, who, in the past two months, has expressed his unhappiness with his situation in Cincinnati.

Asked just minutes ago about Johnson -- quiet since the Pro Bowl -- Rosenhaus said, "There is nothing new to report about Chad Johnson. Status quo."

On Friday, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, the object of much of Johnson's ire, declined to talk about the Johnson situation and said he had still not talked with Johnson since the regular-season finale Dec. 30 at Miami.

Stop saying petty things about Cumutte, he's better than Jeff Hobson, Mike Browns whipping boy, who only writes what's going well with the teams and never criticizing them for making stupid moves.

Anonymous,
Give me a break! Mark can only report on what is out there! Besides, the constant ranting and whining by Chad is old and tiresome and we need to stop encouraging it. Let's talk about Jonathan Fanene's contract extension! Get over yourself!

Mark, take it from a guy who decided NOT to be a sports reporter after spending one spring training in Tampa and seeing what it was really all about: You do a helluva job, keep it up.

Its you fans who continue to bad mouth the Brown family and coach Lewis is what gives our organization a bad name. SHUT UP about how awful everyone is and be positive for once. You wonder why the Bengals can't get out of the basement, our attitude stinks; fans and players! We have to think postively and a new beginning can start. Rome wasn't built in a day. M.L. has brought respectability to our team. I remember before M.L. was here and the disgrace that was happening on the field. Stop camplaining and start supporting.

Anonymous 8:26PM,

You should meet Nick Heb who posts on this board regularly. He shares the same attitude you do regarding the Bengals, which is: ignore the real problem and be happy. Give me a break. The problems start with the Brown family and spread out from there. Do you think if the fans cheer harder, then the Bengals will win? That's dilusional buddy. It's people like you who enable Mike Brown to keep the status quo.

9:02 >> you're right of course about our Marvless Coach? but he's only here because Mikey is too cheap to hire a good coach.

Nothing's changing until there are empty seats.
