Bengals jump back in game, 23-17

BALTIMORE -- Carson Palmer's 71-yard pass play to Chris Henry -- the Bengals longest offensive play of the season -- benefitted from and survived a challenge and set the Bengals up for a 4-yard Rudi Johnson touchdown run.

The Bengals now trail only 23-17 with 13:31 remaining in the game.

Henry appeared to fumble at the end of the play when he was caught from behind by cornerback Chris McAlister. Safety Ed Reed picked the ball up and ran to the 20, where T.J. Houshmandzadeh turned him upside down with a tackle. Reed and middle linebacker Ray Lewis both were hurt on the play but would return.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis challenged. The fumble was overturned on review. Baltimore coach Brian Billick challenged that Henry had stepped out of bounds at the 31-yard line. That challenge was not allowed.
