Bad start for Bengals
BALTIMORE -- The Ravens turned their 23rd takeaway of the season into a touchdown and a 7-0 lead against the Bengals this afternoon.
Jamal Lewis ran in from the 2 for the score. The 34-yard, six-play scoring drive was set up by a lost fumble by Cincinnati's Chris Perry on the opening kickoff. Perry had a nice lane to run in but had the ball stripped by Mike Smith. Musa Smith recovered. Steve McNair hit tight end Todd Heap for a 15-yard gain on the first play. On third and 6, McNair threw 10 yards to Mark Clayton for a first and goal at the 5.
