Bad start gets even worse
BALTIMORE -- Safety Ed Reed just scored the Ravens' 35th non-offensive touchdown since the start of the 2000 season. Cornerback Samari Rolle returned a tipped Carson Palmer pass 24 yards to the Bengals 25-yard line, where he tossed a lateral to Reed, who went the final 25 yards for the score.
It was the third interception returned for a touchdown in the past five quarters for the Ravens. It was their league-high 16th interception of the season.
Palmer threw high for Chad Johnson, who was hit in the high by Reed. Baltimore's Adalius Thomas sacked Palmer on the first play from scrimmage. It was Palmer's first interception in 154 consecutive attempted passes.
