The Saints traded their 10th overall and 78th overall (third round) picks to New England for the seventh selection, where New Orleans took defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis of Southern Cal.
The Bengals, logic would say, could have gotten that trade with the Patriots for their ninth and 77th picks.
The Bengals were willing to trade that very same pick, No. 77, their third-rounder, to Detroit, along with a fifth-round pick, for defensive tackle Shaun Rogers.

Why would you NOT make that trade and get, potentially, the 3rd best defensive player in the draft versus staying put and adding to your "depth" at LB, who is not a game changer. They HAVE to take the Arkansas DT in round 2 now.
Makes you wonder IF the Front Office knows what they're doing? They NEVER know what they're doing. One bumbling step after another. Look, it's simple: Mike Brown in charge equals failure.
