Mark Curnutte offers the latest on the Cincinnati Bengals


Mark Curnutte started covering the Bengals and the NFL for The Enquirer in 2000. He previously wrote about urban affairs and other social issues for the Enquirer. He won the prestigious 1994 Unity Award from Lincoln University (Missouri) for "A Polite Silence," a seven-day series about race relations in Greater Cincinnati. He also has worked as an assistant features editor and features writer at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. Curnutte is second vice president and a three-year board member of the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA). He is a 1984 Miami University graduate.

Final pick is WR Urrutia

With their second of two seventh-round picks, the Bengals picked wide receiver Mario Urrutia of Louisville. He is the third wide receiver taken in 10 picks. He is almost 6 feet, 6 inches and weighs 232 pounds.

I have been saying this in all my post, here, and everywhere else. This kid here is the steal of the draft!!!

I think he could be molded into a scoring threat that no team can defend. I really believe if given a shot, he could be the TE of the future. Raw athletic ability with super height and a body that can put on about 10-12 lbs of muscle.

Cincy....give him the shot he deserves!
