Bengals rookie free agents

The Bengals won't release the names of their rookie free agents until they are all signed.

Bill Koch, who covers UC sports for The Enquirer, reported this morning that Bearcats running back Bradley Glatthaar and defensive end Anthony Hoke signed rookie free agent contracts with the Bengals, guard Digger Bujnoch with the Giants and fullback Doug Jones with the Rams. Glatthaar and Bujnoch are Elder grads. Jones is from Dixie Heights.

The Bengals also drafted UC defensive end Angelo Craig in the seventh round Sunday.

Former UC safety Haruki Nakamura was drafted in the sixth round by Baltimore.

I read that the Bengals signed Simeon Castille, the corner/safety out of Alabama, as one of their undrafted free agents. This is a good pickup. While it doesn't make up for Jerome Simpson, I think Castille could develop into a free safety prospect and special teamer.

I think the Bengals can use some local talent who take a little pride in this city and this team. Maybe they can help motivate these guys when it's the third quarter and they are moping around cause they are losing. Congratulations guys i wish you the best, and take advantage of the opportunity you have been giving, work hard and make the team.

Would have love to landed Nakamura. Still questioning the Shirley pick. Also glad to see the Urrutia pick. Size helps at WR.

I, too, would've loved to see our beloved Bengals draft Nakamura. Drafting Lynch eases that.

I've mentioned before, I has hoping they'd draft Owen Schmidt, the FB from WV. I do hope they sign a FA FB to push J. Johnson. Last year, he showed up fat and slow. Someone needs to push him.

This draft is one of the all time low lights of the Cincinnati Bengals... And there have been many..Does Mike Brown know he is allowed to trade draft picks and move up to get a player they want? I am not talking about Ellis, I am talking about James Hardy, taken 5 spots before the bengals 2nd pick...And what were they thinking with the SHirley pick? Now I know why CHad wants out. He is right, "the Bengals cannot compete, it starts at the top".
