No word today on linebackers coach
The Bengals are expected to announce their linebackers coach Friday. He will replace Ricky Hunley, fired Jan. 2.
The linebackers position is the only coaching vacancy on the Bengals staff.
Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese is a top candidate to replace Greg Olson as St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator. Zampese was an assistant coach in St. Louis from 2000-02.

Mark, if Ken Z. is so much in demand, why would the Bengals not make an effort to keep an up and coming guy in the fold with Carson as OC? One who has worked and worked well with him, as opposed to keeping the seemingly stagnated version of the offense and Bob Bratkowski. Just pondering? Also how and where is your former running mate Kevin Goheen of the now defunct Cincinnati Post?
Hopefully, Zimmer is a good hire, and management spends some serious dollars on talent for defense. The obvious thing for the offense is if Norm Chow is available why not replace Zampese with him, assuming Carson holds him in high regard. Finally, we all know Hue Jackson is valuable, why not make him director of player personnel?
Chow's not going to take a demotion to come here. Only way he does is for the OC position which, unfortunately for us in Bengaldom, still belongs to Bratkowski. They really missed the boat if Zampese leaves. Kind of like they did with another QB coach the Bengals had on Paul Brown's staff......what was that guy's name again......Walsh????
