Paper: Zampese talks to Rams
Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese met in St. Louis with Rams coach Scott Linehan about the team's vacant offensive coordinator position, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported today.
Zampese was one of Marvin Lewis' original hires on his first Bengals staff and has has coached quarterbacks with the Bengals for five seasons.
Before being hired by Lewis, Zampese was an assistant in St. Louis under head coach Mike Martz from 2000-02. Zampese was wide receivers coach in 2001 and passing game coach in 2002. Zampese, who interviewed for the Panthers coordinator job and was offered the coordinator position with the Jets, is the Bengals staff member most primed for advancement.
Zampese, 40, has not returned messages left on his cell phone by The Enquirer.

What ever happened to Ed Hartwell??
I do not see him on our roster or listed as a free agent.
Did we give him his outright release?? Or is he still a possibile returnee??
Glenn
Ed Hartwell was given his Release He did not make the Team out of Camp. You might see him back as LineBackers Coach. To say something on the post. If Zampese is going I hope its sooner than later Maybe Chow would come here or maybe Jackson. I hate to see him go. Because he is a good coach
Zampese should be our offensive coordinator. Another bad decision by the organization, if they let him get away. If Marvin really wanted to shake things up, he should have done so already.
Yeah, I think Bratkowski earned a copy of the home game this year. How many more end arounds or reverses do we have to endure? I think the one TJ had late in the season this year is one of the few times it has EVER worked.
When I heard Chow as available, I thought they ought to be beating down his door to get him in here somehow. Even if Kenny Z moves up, Chow as qb coach? It would have to be an upgrade.
