Center added to practice squad

The Bengals today signed rookie center Kyle Cook to the practice squad.

Cook, who is 6-feet-3, 295 pounds, played at Michigan State. He was an undrafted rookie free agent signed by the Vikings. He played in all four of Minnesota's preseason games and was waived Sept. 1.

Offensive lineman Dan Santucci, one of the Bengals two seventh-round picks in 2007, was expected to have filled the eighth slot on the Cincinnati practice squad.

Curnutte, you're killing me!!! Are Willie and Levi practicing with the first team? Will Jonathan Joseph be ready to start on Monday? If not, will it be Leon Hall? Are they really going to start Brooks at MLB on Monday? Does Perry catch passes in practice, or does he have perpetual dropsies? I know your first obligation is to the Enquirer, but I'm not seeing this information there either.

Kind of shocking how little we have to show from the last 2 free agency periods. 1 zero impact season from Sam Adams and nothing from Ed Hartwell. While other teams are making a serious push for the Super Bowl with various additions, we're standing pat at best, if not getting worse talent-wise. So many things pointing to another 8-8.
