Mark Curnutte offers the latest on the Cincinnati Bengals


Mark Curnutte started covering the Bengals and the NFL for The Enquirer in 2000. He previously wrote about urban affairs and other social issues for the Enquirer. He won the prestigious 1994 Unity Award from Lincoln University (Missouri) for "A Polite Silence," a seven-day series about race relations in Greater Cincinnati. He also has worked as an assistant features editor and features writer at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. Curnutte is second vice president and a three-year board member of the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA). He is a 1984 Miami University graduate.

Owners will vote Tuesday on Super Bowl site for 2011

The annual NFL Spring Meeting will be held at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, Tenn., on Tuesday.

The agenda for the one-day business meeting includes a vote on the awarding of Super Bowl XLV in 2011. The finalists are Arizona, Indianapolis and North Texas. Super Bowls are awarded by a vote of the ownership. A decision and announcement on the 2011 Super Bowl is expected at the end of the morning session on Tuesday.

There will be a series of committee meetings on Monday afternoon before the league meeting will begin Tuesday morning.

Tuesday’s agenda will include a wide range of league matters.

The meeting is expected to conclude by the dinner hour Tuesday. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will hold a news conference following the conclusion of the meeting.
