Lewis thanks fans for support

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis today issued his thanks to Cincinnati fans for their support during Thursday’s victory over Baltimore at Paul Brown Stadium.

"On behalf of everyone in our organization, I want to say how incredible our crowd was at the Ravens game," Lewis said. "The noise was particularly outstanding. A number of our defensive players commented to me about it, so I know it gave Baltimore’s offense a difficult situation to deal with.

"The fans came out in great numbers, even though it was a very wet night with the threat of storms in the area. They stood up for our team and came out and gave us the atmosphere we always strive to have in The Jungle. I want them to know how much it’s appreciated and how we look forward to the same level of support for our last two regular-season games against the Raiders and the Steelers."

A class statement from a class man. I didn't think it was especially loud Thursday night.

To Coach Lewis's credit, he's turned the team in the right direction again, and you simply can't give the players credit alone--the Bengals coaches had everyone ready to play on Thursday. On McNeal's arrest: you know, myself and every single friend my age (hundreds) of mine have managed to NEVER, NOT ONCE, get arrested. I'm sick of these little boys in mens' bodies who are arrogant enough to disrespect their team-mates and the police. I think the NFL ought to have a one conviction (for any non-traffic misdemeanor) one year suspension policy. The NFLPA needs to help these idiot little boys GROW UP!

Mark,
It has already started. The press are lining themselves againsed us saying that we can do Indy and Denver. This is pure fiction. The Baltimore game proved that. This team can do whatever it puts it's mind to. The players have to be willing to put everything on red alert, take full advantage of every opponet mistake, and TRUELY BELIEVE that this is what they were ment to do from the begining of the year. The coaches have to do what they know is necessary to insure that the players are stoked for success.
Tell them Mark. Tell them that the fans believe in them and know they have nothing that can't be done or overcome.
