Game goes into overtime tied at 17

Shayne Graham and the kicking game flinched for a second week in a row when Graham missed a 39-yard field with 12 seconds remaining.

The Bengals rallied for two offensive touchdowns in the second half.

Pittsburgh’s Jeff Reed kicked a 35-yard field goal at 1:03 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 17.

The Bengals suffered from questionable play-calling and time-management at the end of the game.

The Bengals answered, thanks to a 47-yard completion to Chris Henry at the Pittsburgh 20. Henry had four catches for 124 yards in regulation.

VERY TRUE. LEWIS'S ASSISTANTS NEED TO BE FIRED. ALL OF THEM!

Poor play calling at the end of regulation cost this game. After the long pass to Henry, why did the Bengals waste 2 opportunities to score or at least move the ball closer to the goal line, instead of taking those two ridiculous quarterback flops? That's poor coaching, in my opinion.

This is a team that *tried to lose. Marvin Lewis blows a critical timeout with over a minute remaining to try to rattle their kicker?? Common! Then, amazingly within field goal range, they mysteriously down the ball a few times, moving it back about the 4 yards that Graham missed by. At least a dozen miscues, bad plays, and coaching mistakes, each which would have secured a win. Shame!

Bengals new year's resolutions for 2007

1) Find a defense. any defense.
2) Find a Tailback that's a threat to bust one, longer than 6 yards.
3) Find a Punt Returner that can get positive yardage.
4) Find a corner that was not born in the 70's.
5) Find some roughnecks that will stand up to dirty steeler players like harrison, porter, etc.
6) Have your kicker, snapper, and holder spend some time together. hopefully practicing.

I have always been a big supporter of Marvin Lewis. But after todays game I have real questions about his ability to take this team to the next level. They have completely collapsed the last three games. Today the team was totally unprepared to play. Well, except Chris Henry. Terrible clock management at the end of the game. Why blow a time out trying to ice the kicker?

You knew that the game was over in when the Bengals lost the O.T. coin toss. Bengals have the worst defense in NFL (SEC also, except for UK). Offense has to be perfect for Bengals to win....

Bill Cowher is a great football coach. Did you see him during the game having fun, getting in his players faces, harrassing the referees.

Marvin's team takes on his timid attitude. No fire.

When you have a roster full of selfish, over-confident, arrogant players, this is the kind of season you have. And having 20% of your roster being convicted felons doesn't help. This team got exactly what they deserved.

I thought John Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Chevy Chase and Bill Murray were able to make me laugh non-stop in their Saturday Night Live days. I have to now replace these great actors with Palmer, R. Johnson, C. Johnson and Houshama-zingo or what ever his name is !!. With out a doubt, the BUNGLES are back !!!!. And you clowns PAY to go to the stadium for this "entertainment" ? too funny....

my off-season list for the bengals.

A. Carson must get his mechanics back into top form. (It cost us some this year) Which he will do.

B. Get Thurman back to help the d and keep him out of trouble.

C. We do need some roughnecks who will put some 'enforcer' attitude into the team on both sides of the ball.

D. We need to have a more balanced philosophy on Offense. Passing all the time doesn't get us past 8-8 apparently. It's not Rudi's fault we don't use him more. Scratch any suggestion for a new back. And when we do pass, why can't we throw more to the backs we have, let big Jeremi and quick Watson and Rudi get some passes out of the back field.

E. Draft a lethal tight end. A Dan Ross or Rodney Holman type. We haven't had one in forever.

Cont.

F. Getting a healthy Tab Perry back is good.

G. Resign Justin Smith 'cause he's probably our best DL, but we need better people than Justin.

H. Pick an o-line in the draft to replace Braham. Get another Corner.

I. Start weeding out from the roster our winkest links and shore up clock mgmt and the sp tms. And let Jeremi pound his big frame on opposing d's a few more times. He was good when he got the rock.

Why does Carson keep insisting that the Bungles are better than the the Steelers? Both games this year, the Pit boys dominated the yardage battle and controlled the line of scrimmage. The only way y'all stayed in was our turnovers. What film are you watching Carson?

Pukesburgh bandwagon fan. What film are you watching? Your team is still in 3rd and sitting at at home. The only reason you got a w today was because our guys choked at the end. You didn't win. The bengals lost. Give our boys credit when they take the ball from you. Otherwise why should I give your guys any credit for anything other than trying to cheap shot people and take them out with underhanded tricks.

How sweet it was to keep the Bungles from advancing.
