I know the defense was terrible and Chris Henry is scared but why doesn't anyone mention that the Special Teams don't make ANY BIG plays?

for the past year, i cringe everytime keiwan ratliff goes back to field a punt. He either has a return of 2 yards or repeatedly fair catches balls inside the 7 yard line. In today's game, what everyone seems to forget, was his huge muff of the SD punt that was luckily recoverd by the bengals. Imagine if it wasnt. I am totally perplexed why they cannot find someone, anyone else to return punts. Deltha O'neal on his only try probably had the best punt return we've had all year.

I was at Sunday's game and i don't remember a game more heartbreaking, where i just wanted to CRY afterward.

I know it's just football, just a game, just something to do on weekends. But I think I'm taking a BYE WEEK this Sunday. The season is far from over. But until the Bengals find a way to win, I won't even consider a Wild Card berth a possibility in 2006.

Gosh, I'm a lifelong Bengals fan and Bengals sufferer and I will ALWAYS be a Bengals fan. But this losing so many close ones is wearing on me. I wish them luck in New Orleans. I think what we really need is a LEADER to step up on a defense lacking a leader. I'm tired of using the excuse INJURIES. We just lack heart. There is no heart in the Bengals defense.

Enough of my rant. WHO DEY !! How is everyone else coping? wacko.gif

Marvin needs to take control of the defensive play calling...that's the only way of salvaging the season.

If Billick can take over calling the O from a position of strength (winning record), Marvin needs to step up and say to this team, I'm willing to put my butt on the line...who's with me?

Man up, Marv.

The chubby blonde-headed kid has to go. His scheme in Oakland didn't work either - it took Rich Gannon to keep ahead of his defense. A 28 point average should be enough to win most games. I am getting tired of seeing shots of him scratching his head.
