Bengals waive CB Body

Cornerback Patrick Body has been waived by the Bengals with an injury settlement. He had been placed on the injured reserve list Saturday with a foot injury. The IR designation ends a player's season.

Still no word from the Bengals on signing Reggie McNeal to the practice squad. It could happen today or even Wednesday morning.

It's good to see that the Bengals are very deep at several positions, primarily on offense. Unfortunately, this means some quality players get cut. I was suprised to see some of these quality players go, such as Dorsey, who was quickly picked up by the Colts.

It's a tough business, but you have to keep the roster at 53. I would really like to see the Bengals keep McNeal. This guy could be a huge contributor on special teams, or other positions. He is made from the Randel El mold, and we know how valuable he was to the Steelers last year.

On a personal note, Mark, keep up the good work. I think I speak for many Bengals fans in saying how much we appreciate all the insites you provide in the articles, and daily blog. You are truly valuable to the Enquirer, and Bengal Nation.
