Bengals practice this afternoon
The Bengals are practicing this afternoon in full pads.
Team pictures were taken over the noon hour at Paul Brown Stadium.
Practice includes the seven players signed to the team's practice squad this morning, including former Miami star John Busing, a safety; and former UK standout Glenn Holt, a wide receiver.
Busing, making the transition from college linebacker, called the practice squad opportunity, "A foot in the door, the first step. I know what it takes now to make the 53." Active rosters consist of 53 players.
The Bengals will play the Chiefs in the opener Sunday afternoon at Kansas City, a team coach Marvin Lewis said would essentially be the same under first-year coach Herm Edwards, who used to work for retired coach Dick Vermeil.
