Mark Curnutte offers the latest on the Cincinnati Bengals


Mark Curnutte started covering the Bengals and the NFL for The Enquirer in 2000. He previously wrote about urban affairs and other social issues for the Enquirer. He won the prestigious 1994 Unity Award from Lincoln University (Missouri) for "A Polite Silence," a seven-day series about race relations in Greater Cincinnati. He also has worked as an assistant features editor and features writer at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. Curnutte is second vice president and a three-year board member of the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA). He is a 1984 Miami University graduate.

QB Raggone traded to Rams for draft pick

The Bengals traded quarterback Dave Raggone to the St. Louis Rams on Tuesday for an undisclosed draft pick. Raggone, The Bengals acquired Raggone off waivers from Houston on May 24. He is a fourth-year player from the University of Louisville. The Bengals have four quarterbacks on their roster: Carson Palmer, Anthony Wright, Doug Johnson and rookie Erik Meyer.

It won't matter if the rams do good or bad, that draft pick will be a late round draft pick.

Has it struck anyone else that this Frostee Rucker thing is all about stuff that happened nearly a YEAR AGO?? (August, 2005).

Do you suppose his girlfreind figured out after the draft that he make have some serious cash in his pockets soon??

I don't have a lot of sympathy for Henry or AJ, but this one smells a little....
