Chad leaves game
BALTIMORE -- Wide receiver Chad Johnson has three receptions for 62 yards and left for one play after being tackled by the neck by Ravens cornerback Derrick Martin.
Johnson has come back in the game.
Johnson was open on the goal line on third-and-8 from the 16, but Carson Palmer's pass sailed high. On fourth down, Shayne Graham was good for a field goal from 34 yards. The Bengals lead 3-0.
The Bengals drove 52 yards in 10 plays in 4:01 for the score.

Is it time to admit that maybe the Bengals offense just isn't that good? Rudi looks like he just turned 50, the o-line is not as good as a few years ago, there've been some big drops by receivers (including Chad) this year, and Carson, while very good, may not be quite the superstar that everyone thinks. How did he miss Chad just now? Do elite quarterbacks do that?
Is it me, or is Carson off this season? I feel like this is the elephant in the room that most people have been ignoring due to all of the other problems on this team. He has been missing open receivers with scary regularity that he never used to miss before.
I'm still wondering if the Bengals know that it is legal to throw on second down when the 1st down pass is incomplete. They are 100% today and have to be over 80% for the season.
I've never played organized football and even I can see when they are going to run the ball.
Do you think Marvin, while electing to kick a field goal on 4th and 1 foot, was thinking again, "I don't anticipate that my defense will allow the Ravens to march down the field before halftime." No wonder none of these players learn from their mistakes. Their head coach doesn't either.
I def agree that Carson is off his game this season. There have been several instances where chad has been wide open, AT THE END ZONE even, and Carson has missed him! And its other receivers too he's missing...Im sorry but people put the blame on the WRs on this team and nothing on Carson. That needs to change.
